How long does it take for a skull fracture to heal?

I had a car accident back on Oct 31, 2008 and long story short I ended up with a skull fracture. The neurosurgeon told me I had a Base of the skull fracture on the left side near my ear. I was admitted to the hospital for a few days for observation because I was knocked unconscious for a few seconds. i also had a little blood in my left ear canal. It is now almost 4 months later and I still have quite a few headaches (at least one per day). The headaches are very localized around the same area where my skull fracture is/ was. Is it possible that my skull fracture is still not healed? If it is healed what could be causing these headaches?

Also, I know I should go to the doctor, but I am just trying to get some advice before I jump the gun.
Well Ziff... I think you could be right in many cases like mine, but I dont think Im just dreaming this pain up. Sometimes it can get pretty intense, like a dull throbbing pain in the back of my head near the top of my neck.

It may well be healed that doesn't mean that there wont be lingering effects. What your experienceing could also be in your head as the saying goes, ie you think it should hurt so it does.
